DUBLIN'S Ryan O'Dwyer bagged 2-2 from play while Richie Power amassed ten points as Leinster captured the M Donnelly Interpro hurling title thanks to a power-packed first half display against Connacht at Nowlan Park.
Leinster, with eight Kilkenny men and three Dubs in their starting 15, ran out 2-19 to 1-15 winners against a de facto Galway team, despite easing off the gas when backed by the second half elements. Damien Hayes flicked home Connacht's solitary goal.
"The players really enjoyed it," declared winning boss Joe Dooley. "Every player we asked to get involved from the first day answered the call, so the enthusiasm for the competition is there among the players."
