Na Fianna nursery gets a 'Swift' boost!

HEALTH is wealth, as they say. Getting out there in the fresh air and hitting a ball around. Priceless.

The Mobhi Road on a Saturday morning is a sight to savour. Over 300 children, aged four to nine, in the Na Fianna Nursery.

There's magic in the air. One big fun, fountain of joy. Now comes the good news that the VHI Swiftcare Clinic in Swords has jumped on board as sponsor.

"The Na Fianna Nursery is known far and wide," says club chairman, Des ó Dubhlainn.

"Mention Na Fianna to anyone and one of the first things they talk about is the huge number of young children playing out on the front pitch every Saturday morning.

"The Nursery is vitally important for the on-going development of the club, and we are extremely proud of it. We are delighted with the sponsorship. The much needed funds will go a long way to providing equipment and supporting the fine work already being done."

The former chairman, Paul McCarville, also welcomed the bright tidings.

"The Nursery is where children get their first taste of Gaelic games, and it's also where many parents get their first introduction to Na Fianna," he said.

"For those reasons, the importance of a well-resourced Nursery is essential.

"We are very grateful to the VHI Swiftcare Clinic, Swords for not only recognising the great work that goes on here but also for their generous sponsorship."
