DON'T put your Mullingar Lotto ticket on this one. The first instalment had more swings and roundabouts than the playground in St Anne's Park.
It took place in Rolestown. Tight pitch. Tight game.
And it went the full distance – Raheny 1-8, Maur's 0-11 after extra-time.
At full-time, it was 1-6 to 0-9. Maur's edged in front in extra-time. Points from David Henry and Ger Coady then gave Raheny the advantage, but Ciarán Reddin's strike meant that there would be another enchanting evening.
Both favour a brisk brand of football. They are two fit teams with a Division 1 address. Raheny got back there last season from Division 2.
In their last league games, Maur's beat Kilmacud Crokes and Raheny overcame O'Toole's. No free lunches there.
Brothers and Maur's team-mates, Ronan and Oisín McGinty, were in opposite dugouts as their respective schools reached the Fingal Schools Premier final.
This replay also has a Premiership ring to it. Rival managers Alan Durnin and Ciarán Whelan do more homework than the two Jimmy's – McGuinness and Gavin.
VERDICT: St Maur's
