Corofin star Micheál Lundy has left the door open on a return to the Galway set-up, writes Donnchadh Boyle.

Lundy was in excellent form for his club last Sunday, hitting 1-3 as they hammered Roscommon champions Clann na nGael in Dr Hyde Park to set up a date with Mayo's Ballintubber Ballitubber in the Connacht decider on Sunday week.

Lundy wasn't part of the Galway set-up in 2018 but he hinted that he could be open to a return.

"We'll see how this goes," Lundy replied when asked about his inter-county future.

"Hopefully we'll have a long run here with Corofin and then you never know what could happen."

Inclusion

And Lundy also reckons that there could be a number of Corofin men putting their hand up for inclusion in Kevin Walsh's panel given their form.

"(Galway) are flying it and hopefully they can push on. There are a few lads here now (with Corofin), if they keep playing as well as they are, they can push for a place next year."
