LUCAN SARSFIELDS v CRUMLIN

(TOMORROW, O'TOOLE PARK, 2.30)

LUCAN have been in more semi-finals than they'd care to remember. Here's a chance to reach another one.

Crumlin reached the last four last season. They previously won the big prize in 1979. They are still the only Dublin club to have won the Leinster Championship title. The genius of Jimmy Boggan.

They'll relish the opportunity of playing in their favourite front garden. And they'll be hoping Adam McGreal, Shane Martin and Kevin Byrne can again hit the high notes.

Lucan were creating their own headlines. They knocked out last year's runners-up, Cuala.

In the mood, Lucan can play as sweetly as Glenn Miller. Kevin O'Reilly is a refined craftsman. Crumlin will test their resolve.

The odds were against the Sars going into that last pool tie with Cuala. Lucan had only got a point from their draw against ChiarĂ¡in's. They lost to O'Toole's.

But they delivered when it mattered most, and that will be the tune in their pre-match head-phones.

VERDICT: Lucan Sarsfields
