LUCAN SARSFIELDS 0-14 TEMPLEOGUE SYNGE ST 1-9
GREY clouds but bright football at O'Toole Park on Saturday. The old venue was fairly humming in the second half. And this Dublin SFC fourth round duel was to produce a compelling conclusion.
Lucan sprinted away with the first. They led by eight points to one by the 21st minute.
It was 0-10 to 0-4 at the break.
Slowly Synger crept back into it. Points from Declan Treanor (two frees), Cathal Morley and Niall Scully reduced the deficit to four points in the 48th minute.
A minute later, Eoghan O'Gara's interception let in Scully for a goal. Then Alan O'Brien levelled it.
With extra-time beckoning Paul Casey went on the burst which led to a Tommy Brennan free. Stephen O'Shaughnessy made sure.
