DUBLIN have learned the path they will face if they fail to beat Wexford at the second time of asking in their Leinster SHC quarter-final replay next Saturday night in Parnell Park.
The loser of the Dublin/Wexford tie was pulled out alongside Antrim in the qualifiers draw, and will enjoy the benefit of a home tie on Saturday, June 22.
Moreover, a win there would set up a Phase 1 clash against Carlow, again with home advantage before the losers of the provincial semi-finals – including, by virtue of yesterday's shock defeat, Tipperary – are dropped in to beef up the draw considerably.
Offaly versus Waterford is, however, the 'glamour' tie of the preliminary round, with the Faithful set to host Michael Ryan's men while Westmeath now face a trip to Ruislip to play London for a spot in Phase 1.
All-Ireland SHC Qualifiers, Preliminary Round – Saturday, June 22: Offaly v Waterford, Dublin/Wexford v Antrim, London v Westmeath
All-Ireland SHC Qualifiers, Phase 1, Saturday, June 29: Dublin/Wexford/Antrim v Carlow, London/Westmeath v Offaly/Waterford
