Liffey flow to Féile success

A LATE goal from the lively Rory Dempsey ensured Liffey Gaels a deserved 4-4 to 3-3 win over Kilmacud Crokes in their absorbing Féile Peil na nóg Division 8 Final at Blakestown Road last Sunday morning.

Gaels were full value for the success with the defensive heroics of Seán Kearney and Conor Byrne reflecting their collective efforts in both the final and Saturday's group games.

Cameron Cooper Coyne, Jack Murray, Finn Coyle, Joseph Leech and Dempsey were always prominent with goalkeeper Jamie Devine making some crucial saves over the weekend.

For Kilmacud Crokes, it was a tough defeat to take but they can take huge comfort and satisfaction from their endeavours over the two days.

Hugo Collins and Jack Brennan were impressive throughout in addition to finding the net in the decider with Ben Brown and Michael Nealon among many to excel for a Crokes team that battled valiantly until the final whistle.
