Larriers to dance the night away at bewley's

THE word has gone out -- calling all Larriers.

O'Toole's are holding their gala Dinner-Dance at Bewley's Dublin Airport Hotel on Friday week, September 14.

The best of grub and music is on the menu, and it is sure to be a most enjoyable occasion.

Interest in the event within the club is very high and O'Toole's are hoping for a sell-out.

They'd also love to see former players, members and friends come along.

"Perhaps they haven't been down to the club in a while or whatever, but they'd still be most welcome on the night.

"We'd be delighted to see them," says John Thompson.

"They mightn't have heard the function is on and, maybe, they'd love the chance to catch up with old friends.

"We are very pleased with the response to the Dinner-Dance. It's been a while since we have had one and everybody is looking forward to it.

"Bewley's is a nice venue and we have got the best deal possible, so if any of our ex-players or members would like to attend, we'd only be too happy to hear from them." John's number is 087-2958398.

THERE'S a new voice in the cockpit with co-pilots Mick Hanley and David O'Grady on Dublin City FM'S GAA Show on Wednesday nights (103.2).

The hour-long programme throws in at 7.pm and Suzanne Parker is a welcome addition to the team.

She has all the traits to go right to the top of Broadcasting House, a rich, velvet voice, crisp delivery and a fine interviewing style.

THERE will be plenty of wild cards and wild things at the Friends of Dublin Golf Classic at the K Club this Friday.

Birdies and eagles will be the aim. It's ¤320 for a team of four. The toast over the dinner will wish the best of good luck to the Dublin minors. Check out www.fodh.ie.
