King craves a fizzing Croker on finals day

"COME on everybody" -- that's the plea from Dublin Ladies chairperson, Maureen King.

The county chief wants the Dubs -- man, woman and child -- to head for Croke Park next Sunday for the sport's biggest day.

It will be a TG4 All-Ireland treble treat -- Junior (12.0): Louth v Antrim. Inter (2.0): Armagh v Waterford. Senior (4.0): Cork v Kerry.

It's Kerry first time back in the All-Ireland final since 1993. They edged out the Jackies this summer in the quarter-final in Birr.

Kerry are the queens of the sport with their 11 titles. They achieved the remarkable 9-in-a-row from 1982 to 1990. That's unlikely to be achieved again.

The heart-beat of that side was the majestic Mary Jo Curran, one of the greatest players to have played the game. The Beaufort Bolt with the basketball hands.

Kerry have never lost an All-Ireland final. Cork, the holders, will be the favourites. They managed a five-in-a-row in 2009, beating Dublin by a point in that final.

But the following year they were shocked by Tyrone in the quarter-final.

Dublin would beat Tyrone in the final on the afternoon when Denise Masterson would collect Dublin's first All-Ireland title.
