Kick Fada due to land at Bray Emmet's

THE Bray Emmet's All-Ireland Kick Fada takes place at the club's HQ on Old Connaught Avenue this Saturday.

IT'S now in its 13th year. The ladies will start proceedings at 1.15pm, and the men will follow at 2pm.

Mickey Whelan now has a seat in the Kick Fada's Hall of Fame.

He is in good company. His St Vincent's colleague Jimmy Keaveney is already a member.

Suzanne Hughes of Ballyboden St Enda's and Dublin still holds the record kick for a woman. She hit 52 metres back in 2001.

LIAM RUSHE and Humphrey Kelleher were live in the 98fm studio on Sunday morning's 'Now, That's What I Call Sport' (9am).

Looking ahead, and reflecting on the lessons learned from last season, Liam said Dublin have to be fitter, while Humphrey stated that their first touch has to be better.

Asked by host, Johnny Lyons, about James McClean's Tweet-gate, Humphrey responded: "What do you think Brian Cody's reaction would be if one of his players did that?"

Enough said.
