Jude's create history with an U16 double

LOOK out for the Tymon Express – coming to a school near you.

The St Jude's open-top bus will have two trophies on board – the U16A Championship title and the U16 Division 1 League crown.

They completed the delicious double on their home turf on Saturday as they overcame St Oliver Plunkett's/ER to secure league gold.

In doing so, they created history for the club. And already, many of the girls are being spoken of as future senior Dubs. Last month, they captured the championship prize. They did it the hard way. They had two points to spare over Ballyboden St Enda's in the semi-final before accounting for Lucan by three points.

The league contained some quality teams. Jude's guaranteed their spot in the top four, and they then won three from three, defeating Plunkett's, Lucan and Boden.

They reserved their best form for the most crucial chapter of the campaign, and they enhanced Saturday's show with a cluster of spectacular goals.

And, afterwards, it was crisps and coke all-round ... on the double.
