Jude's can jump over Whitehall

(Parnell Park, Tonight, 6.45)

WHITEHALL COLMCILLE reside in Division 3. They knocked out Erin's Isle from Division 2 on opening night.

It was a terrific win, masterminded by former Dublin minor manager and senior selector Paddy Canning and Anto Holly.

Seán Dwyer's late goal had the carrier pigeons racing up Collins Avenue with the good news.

Talented dual ace Eoin O'Donnell scored the opening goal on that evening where Seán Ryan and John Bridgeman also made very notable donations.

Add to that mix the talents of Dublin U21 and senior Cormac Costello and Colmcille's will test the Jude's defence if they can guarantee themselves sufficient possession.

However, this is another step up in class against a very well drilled and experienced Tymon North side.

Jude's were in the semi-final last season and are certainly no strangers to the business end of the championship.

They overcame Naomh Mearnóg in the first round. Kevin McManamon (pictured, above ) excelled.

The Templeogue club play with lots of power and pace.

And they have seasoned experience - buckets of it all over the pitch which will be worth too much to them against tonight's opponents.

VERDICT: St Jude's
