Hannon's haul gets Wicklow's show on road

Following a one-point defeat by Clare last week, Wicklow got their League show back on the road at Aughrim yesterday with a seven-point win over Leitrim.

Centre-forward Tony Hannon led the Wicklow charge, scoring an impressive 1-4, with his opportunist second-half goal proving crucial.

Clare top the division thanks to a 4-18 to 0-2 win in Freshford as Kilkenny suffered an embarrassing start to their campaign.

A goal from Robert Ahern helped Waterford secure a 1-16 to 0-8 success over London in Dungarvan.

Ian Ryan had his scoring boots on, contributing six of his side's points, as Limerick maintained their winning start to the campaign with a thoroughly deserved 0-11 to 0-7 victory over Carlow at Kilmallock.
