Gavin names the same again

JIM GAVIN has stuck with the same Dublin team that lost on Leeside for tonight's Croke Park rematch with Donegal.

The Sky Blues boss has named the 15 players who started against Cork as he seeks to get their Allianz Football League Division One defence back on track - although it remains to be seen if any 11th hour alterations transpire ahead of the 7pm throw-in at GAA headquarters.

Dublin are out to avenge last year's SFC ambush by Donegal but must do so with a depleted line-up, as just five players who took the field for that fateful All-Ireland semi-final are flagged to start tonight.

By contrast, it's all change for the Dublin hurlers as new manager Ger Cunningham continues his trawl ahead of the league. The Corkman makes seven alterations for this evening's Walsh Cup final curtain-raiser against Galway (5.0).

Into the team come 'keeper Alan Nolan, Shane Durkin, Simon Lambert and Chris Crummey in defence, Joey Boland at midfield plus David O'Callaghan and Paul Ryan in the inside line. They replace Gary Maguire, Niall Corcoran, the suspended Michael Carton, Johnny McCaffrey, Cian Mac Giolla Bhríde, Niall McMorrow and David Treacy.
