Four new faces to take on Kingdom

JUST five of Dublin's All-Ireland winning team are set to start against Kerry in Croke Park this evening in a Sky Blue selection that includes four full league debutants.

Jim Gavin's hand has been severely restricted by injury for tonight's Allianz NFL Division One opener (7pm) and this is reflected in a line-up that includes only a handful of his September heroes - skipper Stephen Cluxton, Jonny Cooper, Cian O'Sullivan, Philly McMahon and Ciaran Kilkenny.

Ballymun's Sean George and Eric Lowndes of St Peregrine's will make their league debuts in defence, as will Whitehall's Cormac Costello in attack, albeit the former minor dual star did feature off the bench in last year's Leinster SFC.

There is also a first league start for Shane Carthy, who made some appearances off the bench last spring. With O'Sullivan required at centre-back and in the absence of Michael Darragh Macauley, Carthy forms a new-look midfield pairing with Declan O'Mahony.

Up front, Kilkenny is the only starting survivor from last September - but All-Ireland subs Kevin McManamon and Eoghan O'Gara are included in the inside line, the latter having recovered from recent elbow surgery.

DUBLIN (SF v Kerry): S Cluxton; J Cooper, S George, M Fitzsimons; E Lowndes, C O'Sullivan, P McMahon; D O'Mahony, S Carthy; C Kilkenny, B Cullen, C Reddin; K McManamon, E O'Gara, C Costello.
