Fianna fired up for Cabinteely

TOMORROW sees the start of the Dublin Senior Football Championship. The computer has picked a humdinger.

Na Fianna host Foxrock Cabinteely on the Mobhi Road. The red carpet will be out to welcome the county champions.

Na Fianna took gold in 2011. The Fox Cabs beat them in last year's final by three points, 0-12 to 0-9. It was a compelling contest. Amy Ring hit four critical points for the winners.

The return in Glasnevin should have the turnstiles spinning. Na Fianna's march to the title two years ago was simply awesome.

Victory in the meeting of the champions will be a tonic in Group 1, which sees Clondalkin's Round Tower meet Fingallians tomorrow.

Group 2 has paired St Brigid's against Clanna Gael Fontenoy, while, in the other Group 2 clash, Sylvester's will host Ballyboden St Enda's. Kilmacud Crokes have made a splendid start in Group 2 of the Tesco Intermediate Championship, sitting on top of the table with two wins from two, following victories over Parnell's and Nh MearnĂ³g.
