Fianna battle back for win

Na Fianna produced a strong second-half display to account for battling Ballinteer St John's by five points in their Evening Herald Dublin SFC tie at O'Toole Park on Saturday.

The Mobhi Road men trailed by 0-6 to 0-5 at the break with Jamie O'Connor, Fionán Clabby and Dublin minors Fearghal Duffy and Peter O'Curry impressing for St John's, while Paddy Quinn looked sharp in a generally lacklustre Na Fianna attack.

They pulled away through fine scores from Senan Connell, Quinn, Brain Downes and Davy Quinn to prevail against a youthful Ballinteer outfit, who put on a brave show.
