KILKENNY suffered a humiliating 9-23 to 0-4 defeat at the hands of Peter Canavan's Fermanagh at Nowlan Park.
Seamus Quigley hit 2-12 for the Ernesiders while James Sherry, Brian Cox, Michael Jones, Paul Ward, Ryan Keenan (2) and Declan McCusker also found the net.
The Ernesiders led 6-9 to 0-2 at half-time and added a further 3-14 in the second.
Waterford corner-forward Mark Ferncombe grabbed a hat-trick of goals as he inspired his side to a 4-7 to 1-12 win over Wicklow in Aughrim.
