Dubs lifted the capital

DUBLIN'S footballers have given the whole city a much-needed lift. Saturday's stirring victory against Tyrone has put a smile on people's faces.

The trouncing -- against the Dubs' bogey team -- also highlighted the quality in their ranks.

Pat Gilroy's men produced a wonderful display, showing commitment and skill in equal measure. Diarmuid Connolly was among the heroes, scoring an impressive seven points.

Up next is a semi-final date with Donegal.
