Dublin Ladies Football Board Notes

pInter-County Scene

The Dublin U14 and U16 squads both had substantial victories over Kildare in the opening round of their Leinster Championship campaigns last Saturday, while the Dublin senior team enjoyed a three-point win over Tyrone in the Bord Gáis Energy Ladies NFL.

The Dublin LGFA would like to thank St Laurence O'Toole GAA club most sincerely for hosting both Leinster championship games on Saturday.

pDublin Club Officer Programme 2012

The Club Officer Programme will take place on Thursday, March 15.

Dublin has been twinned with Kildare, with Kildare as the host county.

The venue has been confirmed as Scoil Mhuire Leixlip, with the programme starting at 7.30pm sharp.

The Club Officer Programme is an informational seminar specific to club executive committees of the Ladies Gaelic Football Association. It aims to assist club officers with club activities and the development of appropriate structures at club level.

Clubs will receive information on the Injury Fund Scheme, club development plans and details on how to access funding.

The success of the programme relies on you -- the clubs -- attending and participating.

We ask you to ensure that the relevant officers -- chairperson, secretary, treasurer/registrar, PRO, and children's officer -- attend this worthwhile programme.

If your club is an integrated club with the GAA, and your officers are GAA officers, we ask that four members who look after the Ladies Gaelic Football section of the club attend. The Ladies Gaelic Football section within all clubs should be represented at the programme.

It is essential that your club attends the programme so that members are aware of the roles and responsibilities of officers and the procedures governing the Ladies Gaelic Football Association.

Club reply forms have been issued to all clubs. Please fill in your form ASAP and return to: Dublin LGFA Office, Le Chéile, Donnycarney Dublin 5, by Monday.
