DIT win third Fresher

DIT have now won three All-Ireland Fresher Football titles in the last six years. They beat St Mary's, Belfast in the final at Monaghan, 1-13 to 0-10.

Ruairí ó Coilleain got the golden goal. Brian Power was the captain. Joint managers were Eoghan O'Grady and Thomas Bourke. Eoghan said: "We are so proud of the lads and the effort they have put in all year.

"Mary's really put it up to us. The six-point winning score-line flattered us. But many of these DIT guys will be making an impact on the Sigerson and inter-county stage."
