ST VINCENT'S launched a stunning late comeback to reclaim the Dublin SFC title for the first time in six seasons, at the expense of holders Ballymun Kickhams, on a night of late dramatics and red cards in Parnell Park.
The traditional Dublin kingpins stormed from four points adrift early in the second half to claim the spoils, 1-9 to 1-8, courtesy of two late points from Kevin Golden and Cameron Diamond.
But they must now face a Leinster club SFC quarter-final against Westmeath champions St Loman's this Sunday without their Dublin star Diarmuid Connolly.
Connolly received a straight red card following a 53rd minute flashpoint with Philly McMahon for which his Dublin colleague was also dismissed on a second yellow card.
McMahon had been left prostrate after the incident and his fury on being sent off was palpable, while Connolly has a second Dublin SFC medal to his name but is set to be suspended for the weekend trip to Mullingar.
