Currid defends the use of psychologists

SHE won't be involved in Dublin's Sam Maguire defence, but sports psychologist Caroline Currid has defended the use of mental experts in the game insisting that the results speak for themselves.

The former Sligo ladies footballer played a huge part in Pat Gilroy's plans to turn Dublin into a team capable of winning All-Irelands.

"It's the results that speak for themselves," she said. "Kilkenny have been using people, Tipperary are using people, so the results speak for themselves."
