Cuala make hay in Marley Park

A youthful Cuala side gave an exhibition in point scoring as they outclassed Ballinteer St John’s by 0-25 to 0-12 in their Dublin Adult Hurling League Division 5 clash at Marley Park on Sunday morning.

Harry Roberts handed debuts to Shane Murphy, Justin Burke and Dara Twomey and his faith was rewarded as the U17 players shared six points over the hour.

Ultimately, Cuala triumphed largely through the efforts of Andy Browne, Niall Carty, Conor Hayes, Sean Gibney and Sean Magee.

In AHL6, the experience of Dónall Mac Mathúna proved crucial as Naomh Olaf beat Civil Service by 3-7 to 1-11 in Islandbridge, with James Hughes, James Murphy and Frank Hickey landing vital scores for Olaf’s.
