Crumlin seal semi spot

THREE quarter-finals were down for decision on Saturday with Donabate playing host to the pick of the ties as home side St Pat's went down to Crumlin, 1-13 to 0-14 after extra time.

An Adam Ryan goal looked set to put Crumlin into the semis but Pat's dug deep to force the additional 20 minutes. However, Shane Ryan hit two points to ensure the south-inner city side would march on.

In Somerton, Castleknock proved too strong for Naomh Olaf as they ran out 3-14 to 1-3 winners, with Darragh McKiernan, Paul Burke, Andy Lonergan, Ben Galvin and Liam Quinn in outstanding form.

Elsewhere, in Blunden Drive, Na Fianna had five points to spare over O'Toole's, 2-15 to 2-10, while Clanna Gael Fontenoy had already secured their passage to the last four after they beat St Mark's, 1-13 to 0-4, last Tuesday.
