Cork rejig for Tipperary test

CORK hurlers have made four changes for Sunday’s NHL Division 1 semi-final against Tipperary, with call-ups for Conor O’Sullivan at corner-back, John Gardiner at midfield, plus Niall McCarthy and Luke O’Farrell (the latter duo making their first starts of this year’s league) in attack.

Tipp make two changes from the team that drew with Cork three weeks ago. Conor O’Brien and David Young come into defence, replacing the injured Donagh Maher and Paul Curran, with Pádraic Maher at full-back.

VETERAN Armagh ’keeper Paul Hearty has announced his inter-county retirement, just weeks after winning his sixth All-Ireland club medal with Crossmaglen.

TOMMY McGUIGAN has withdrawn from the Tyrone panel because of an ongoing knee injury which has flared up again, despite surgery last year.
