ALL-IRELAND finalists Cork earned promotion from Division 1B thanks to their comprehensive 2-24 to 1-20 victory over Wexford at Páirc Uí Rinn.
An early goal from Jack Guiney gave the visitors a three-point advantage, but Patrick Horgan (free) and Conor Lehane both goaled as the Rebels led by 2-10 to 1-8 at half-time.
Wexford reduced the deficit to the minimum, before Cork responded through the accuracy of Horgan, who finished with 1-10, and sub Alan Cadogan (three points).
Cork will face Tipperary in the quarter-finals.
LIMERICK held Laois to just four second half points as the Shannonsiders staged an impressive second half to win 1-17 to 1-13 at O'Moore Park.
The home side led by seven points at half-time but a 61st minute goal from Shane Dowling nosed Limerick in front and they never looked back.
OFFALY had it all their own way in their 5-27 to 4-9 win over fellow relegation candidates Antrim at Tullamore.
With both teams heading for a relegation play-off in Ballycastle next Sunday regardless of the outcome yesterday, this match was a dead-rubber.
