conroy: i can't wait for 'mun huge tie

A COUNTY holds its breath . . . St Vincent's against Ballymun Kickhams in the second round of the Dublin Senior Football Championship.

It's the match to make the mouth water. And it will be standing room only at The Neller.

Champions of the past two seasons, St Vincent's, booked their berth with victory over Naomh Olaf last weekend, now they can set their sights on the 'Mun.

"Yes, it's great. We are all looking forward to it," says Tommy Conroy, the St Vincent's manager.

"We have all summer now to look ahead to it and get ourselves ready for the game."

The tie is a repeat of the 2013 final which the Marino men won in a replay. They were two fantastic matches with packed houses at the Donnycarney Dome.

"Ourselves and Ballymun is a huge tie, but there are other big games as well," adds Tommy.

"You have Ballyboden against Kilmacud. And also St Brigid's against St Jude's. So it will be exciting."

The games won't take place until the conclusion of Dublin's campaigns in the All-Ireland Football and Hurling Championships.
