Clarke joins big names in Hall of Fame

A FULL house at the Red Cow for the fifth Friends of Dublin Hurling Celebration Night. Marty Morrissey was the MC.

The Dublin 1961 All-Ireland final team were the guests of honour. Con Clarke entered the Hall of Fame.

Conal Keaney and Peter Kelly shared the Senior Player of the Year accolade. Liam Rush was selected as Young Player of the Year.

The other annual awards went to -- Senior Club: Kilmacud Crokes. Juvenile Club: Clontarf. Secondary School: Templeogue College. Primary School: Scoil Uí Chonaill.

Some 150 new members joined the FODH on Friday night.

Anybody who signs up before Friday, December 16 will be included in a draw for the following prizes: Dublin jersey autographed by the Dublin senior hurlers; DVDs of the league final and highlights of the minor and U21 All-Ireland finals; FODH fleece jackets; Che Daly T-shirts; FODH umbrellas; Dublin jersey signed by Jedward.
