Canty's back to make life even harder for the Dubs

CORK stalwart returns to the Rebel ranks for Sunday’s visit of Dublin to Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The Bantry Blues man takes his place at centre-back in one of three changes from their one-point win over Mayo in Castlebar two weeks ago.

Ken O’Halloran is again given a chance in goal in place of Alan Quirke, while Nemo Rangers’ Paul Kerrigan is selected at centre-forward in place of the suspended Mark Collins.

Attacking lynchpin Daniel Goulding is fully fit and may make an appearance off the bench after missing all six of Cork’s league matches to date through injury.

Kerry, meanwhile, have named Colm Cooper in their team for the first time this season for their home clash with Mayo in Tralee.

The Kerry captain has yet to don the green and gold this year but takes his place in an experimental line-up after the Kingdom secured a Division 1 semi-final spot with a match to spare.

Notably, Kieran Donaghy is named in midfield – an experiment which Jack O’Connor may explore further after Seamus Scanlon was ruled out for a number of weeks – while Patrick Curtin is listed to start at full-forward.

Division Two table-toppers Tyrone have made four switches ahead of their clash with Monaghan after they made sure of promotion with a game to spare.

Pascal McConnell replaces John Devine in goal, PJ Quinn returns from suspension to replace Conor Gormley in defence, Michael Murphy comes into midfield in place of Aidan Cassidy and Niall McKenna is replaced by Stephen O’Neill at full forward.
