Calling on any new Friends of Dublin Hurling

ROLL UP, roll up. That's the call from the Friends of Dublin Hurling. Their aim is to have a significant increase in members this year.

"The Tipperary Supporters Club have 2,000 members. That's impressive. Our aim this season is to break the 1,000 mark," states FODH's Michael O'Grady. "We'll be out in force in Parnell Park for the Tipp game on Sunday, and also for the home matches against Kilkenny, Cork and Limerick.

"The funds raised will go directly back into Dublin hurling. The finance will be used to support the county teams and various other Dublin hurling projects."

Membership costs €20. For that you get a membership card, a FODH pen and a car sticker. Other benefits include a regular Dublin hurling newsletter, regular text alerts on important Dublin hurling games and access to special matchday travel arrangements for big games.

Also included is the option to attend Dublin hurling annual gala events like the awards night and golf outing.

All members who sign up before Monday, March 29, will be entered in a draw for the following prizes:

p Two Leinster SH C'ship tickets of your choice.

p Two FODH Polo Shirts.

p An autographed copy of Seán óg ó Ceallacháin's book 'The Liam McCarthy Cup'.

It's also time to renew membership. Any members who signed up online in November 2008 can have their membership renewed automatically online by responding to an email alert that will be sent out.

Those that signed at the FODH awards night last November are part of the 2010 membership. You can also join by cutting out and filling in the form below and returning it with your membership subscription to: Tom O'Donnell, GAA Office, St Vincent's CBS, Glasnevin, Dublin 11.
