What a difference a week makes!

Seven days previously, Michael Darragh Macauley was dismissed as his club Ballyboden St Enda's stuttered over the line in their Dublin SFC semi-final against Clontarf.

A week later, Macauley was at his inspirational and belligerent best in inspiring Boden to a wholly deserved 2-8 to 0-10 victory over holders St Vincent's.

The margin of victory failed to reflect St Enda's control from the opening whistle with two goals from Andrew Kerin proving pivotal in their four-point win.

Kerin also managed a brace of goals in Ballyboden's previous success back in 2009 with his second-half penalty effectively settling the issue early in the second-half.

The Firhouse Road club will now turn their attention towards a provincial campaign that begins with a clash against Louth champions St Patrick's in Drogheda next Sunday with the sole dampener being the suspected fractured jaw suffered by Ryan Basquel, who kicked three superb points in the first-half.
