BALLYBODEN ST ENDA's and Na Fianna come face-to-face on Saturday at Sancta Maria (2.15) to contest the Dublin U21 'A' Football Championship semi-final with Kilmacud Crokes awaiting the winners, writes Rónán Mac Lochlainn.
It is little surprise to see these pair in the last four, given their recent achievements at minor level with 'Boden giving notice of their intent with an impressive three-point away win over a talented Ballymun in the quarter-finals.
Their defence is well-marshalled by Graham Heavey and their application has allowed forwards Collie Dunne and Ryan Basquel to flourish.
However, they won't find it easy to create openings against a Na Fianna rearguard that conceded just five points to St Vincent's in the quarter-final and that features John Kelly and Niall McGovern while the visitors looking to the likes of Odhrán Ó Maoiléidigh and Adam Caffrey for scores.
Na Fianna won't want for motivation, given they lost last year's final to Lucan, but St Enda's may have enough to get over the line in a low-scoring affair.
VERDICT: Ballyboden St Enda's
