Bernard Brogan cleared for selection in final
BERNARD Brogan is available for selection for Sunday's Leinster SFC final and will take his place in the Dublin attack as expected.
Reports today suggested the 2010 Footballer of the Year was a doubt for Jim Gavin owing to a hand injury, requiring a splint.
However, the Herald understands that the knock is a pre-existing injury dating back to several weeks before the Leinster semi-final in which Brogan scored 2-3 and completed 70 minutes of action.
The splint is thought to be a precautionary measure and Brogan will again be named to start in Gavin's attack when the Dublin manager announces his team on Friday night.
