DENIS BASTICK made his intercounty return for Dublin last night as a largely second strength team beat Wicklow by 1-18 to 1-13 in a challenge match in Greystones.
The Templeogue/Synge Street man hadn't played a minute of intercounty football since last year's All-Ireland final, missing the league in its entirety, but he put himself back in the championship frame by playing in last night's match.

GALWAY have made three changes to their starting line-up for Saturday's Allianz HL Division 1A relegation replay with Dublin in Portlaoise (4.0). Johnny Coen is named at corner-back in place of Ger O'Halloran, Iarla Tanning comes into midfield for Barry Daly and Andy Smith replaces Conor Cooney in attack.
Joe Canning is named at full-forward after his late inclusion to the starting 15 last week.
THIS year's Allianz Hurling League final will take place in Nowlan Park if Tipperary and Kilkenny qualify for the decider. The counties have a home/away agreement for league deciders and their last meeting on such an occasion in 2009 was staged in Thurles.
