THREE cultured Cabra Colts will be honoured by Naomh Fionnbarra next Friday night -- Sean Moyles, Mickey Whelan and Paddy Holden.
All three are Cabra natives and they will be feted at the club's gala celebration dinner-dance at the Plaza Hotel in Tyrellstown.
Sean Moyles once managed the Dublin hurlers, while Paddy Holden was a gifted footballer that won the All-Ireland with Dublin in 1963.
Also on that side was the wonderful Mickey Whelan, who managed St Vincent's to the Promised Land in 2008 and was among Pat Gilroy's leading lieutenants this year.
The function will see the club's heroic hurlers receive their Dublin Senior B Championship medals following their thrilling Parnell Park victory over St Patrick's (P).
It was the club's first senior championship in 65 years. And the triumph was dedicated to the man they'll always call Big Gossy, Anthony Costello. Gossy's memory will also be celebrated. His spirit will always be felt on The Bogies.
"Thankfully, the club is flying," says Nicky Kehoe. "And we are looking forward to honouring Sean, Paddy and Mickey. Three fine gentleman who were very good to us over the years."
