There was a trio of home wins in Division 3 of the Allianz Football League as Armagh, Clare and Limerick emerged victorious.
At the Athletic Grounds Armagh began life in Division 3 with a hard-earned 2-08 to 0-13 win over Tipperary.
A last-gasp Jamie Clarke point secured victory, with the Crossmaglen Rangers clubman very much to the fore.
Clare were convincing 1-16 to 0-05 winners over Wexford at Miltown Malbay. They led throughout and opened up a 0-8 to 0-3 half-time lead.
Former Dublin footballer Pat Burke netted the only goal of the tie two minutes from the end to confirm a 14-point win. Limerick edged Sligo by 0-14 to 1-9 at Kilmalllock.
