Ardscoil Rís boys ready to rattle off more titles

THE renaissance continues at Ardscoil Rís. Last year the school reached their first All-Ireland final in 33 years.

Over the summer, Dublin reached two All-Ireland minor finals with the help of Ardscoil's Famous Five, Gavin Burke, Cormac Costello, Luke Carey, Conor Mullins and Shane Barrett.

There was also first-year football glory to celebrate, and this week, the Marino maestros are on the scent of a Dublin hurling colleges double.

Tomorrow, they'll play Coláiste éanna in the under-18A final at O'Toole Park.

"Back in 1999, Ardscoil won their seventh successive U18 title. This is our first final since then," reveals Alan O'Connor.

And today, Ardscoil will be seeking the three-in-a-row when they meet Templeogue College in the 16A final at O'Toole Park.

Both Ardscoil sides are managed by Fiachra Colgan and Ronan Coone.
