Anne's 'C' off Good Counsel

ST Anne's will contest the 2012 Under 21 'C' Football Championship final following their 1-15 to 0-7 semi-final victory over Good Counsel in Bohernabreena last Saturday.

Leading by 0-5 to 0-3 at the interval thanks to points shared by Craig McKeown, Scott Fulham and Seán Stewart, Anne's kicked a further four successive points after the break.

A Stewart goal, and further late scores from McKeown and Stewart, ensured victory.

At Chanel College, a strong opening half helped Parnell's overcome Whitehall Colmcille by 0-16 to 1-6 in their quarter-final.

The hosts led by 0-10 to 0-3 at the interval. A Cormac Costello goal for Whitehall Colmcille meant 'Nell's required late scores from Daryl Curley, Leigh Fogarty, David Ladola and Adam Judge to book a semi-final slot against St Mark's.
