10 times better

DUBLIN are "ten times better" than when they capitulated to Kerry in 2009, according to their forward talisman Bernard Brogan.

Like many of his Sky Blue teammates, the 2010 Footballer of the Year endured a nightmare afternoon against Kerry in that '09 quarter-final - but he reckons they're a team transformed two years on as they go chasing "the Holy Grail".

"When we played Kerry in 2009, we weren't mentally prepared and didn't get out of the blocks that day," admits Brogan, writing in his exclusive blog for www.hill16.ie/thedubhub.

"But I believe we are ten times better now and are focussed on doing what we do well, which is working as hard as we can for as long as we can and then letting someone else come in and finish the job."

Despite this upbeat declaration, Brogan warns that Kerry are "the favourites because they are the masters at this level" and says Dublin must "exhaust" themselves to have any chance of winning.

"We need to be able to come back into the dressing room at Croke Park next Sunday and be able to look each other in the eye and know that we have given it our all," he concludes.
