DUBLIN supremo, Gregory McGonigle, is expecting quite a High Noon exam from Fintan O'Curry's Dubs Stars selection at Parnell's on December 28th.
Admission is free. There will be a collection for Climb4Care, which raises funds to help children who have a family member who has been diagnosed with cancer.
The Dublin club scene is among the best in the country.
Last summer, Na Fianna and Foxrock Cabinteely produced a thriller at Swords.
Anybody could have won it. The Glasnevin club got there by two points.
The standard of the game underlined how far the sport has travelled.
There was such an intensity to the play. The girls were super fit. They had to be. The ball never stopped to have a cup of tea.
The previous season, Na Fianna had lost the final to Fingallians after a replay.
They were also two games that lit up Parnell Park. Big crowds lapped up the drama.
And it was the same in 2012 when the fabulous Foxrock Cabinteely side beat Na Fianna in the final. The Mobhi girls had taken gold in 2011, and that year they went all the way to the All-Ireland final.
So as the National League comes into view, the Dubs Stars will have the quality to test the post Christmas Blues.
