Fins are shining the Cavan Crystal

THEY'LL be up early in Swords on Saturday.

The president, Aogan ó Fearghail, is calling for the big breakfast.

He will be in Fingallians to officially open the club's new all-weather pitch.

The Fins are used to welcoming Royalty. The man from Youghal, Christy Cooney, also arrived at Lawless Memorial Park during his time in office.

And like Christy, Aogan will see one of the busiest clubs in the country.

Fins are also one of the oldest. They were formed in 1884, the same year as the GAA.

The new all-weather surface will enhance the venue even more.

The facilities are top-notch. They include a fine clubhouse, gym, car-park, Ball Wall, running track and a first-class pitch.

Fins have an excellent PRO, Paul Gormley. His pages overflow every week.

There's so much to report on.

And the president will see that for himself.
