Fergie: We're going all out to win

ALEX Ferguson is banking on a serious backlash to sort out local bragging rights when the two sides of Manchester collide at the Etihad.

Still raw after dropping points first against Wigan and then in that extraordinary 4-4 draw with Everton, Fergie believes his players are itching to make up for past mistakes and nail down the Premier League title on Monday.

"We're smarting from throwing that game away last week. In the context of our history, we almost expected it.

"We tend to make it hard for ourselves. Our supporters have been subjected to that sort of drama for years and years. God knows what their nerves are like now but, hopefully, we'll make amends on Monday," he said.

While a draw would suit Ferguson nicely, he is adamant that Manchester United will go all out for the win.

"We're in a better position than Manchester City. We could come out with two results, whereas they only have one.

"Although you know my attitude and this club's attitude - we'll be trying to win."
