Crumlin class to test Saints

CRUMLIN v BALLINTEER ST JOHN'S, (Kiltipper Road, Tonight (6.45)

BALLINTEER drew with Lucan the first day out. A cheerful start to business.

They then fell to St Jude's. Last season, St John's reached the quarter-final. The Craobh were glad to hear the final whistle.

Crumlin lost to Jude's by two points. Lucan beat them in Rathcoole. The Dublin selector, Shane Martin, had to come off injured.

John Cullen, Jamie Maher, Kevin Byrne, Colm Hennebry and Peter Eliott are highly skilled timber merchants.

Ballinteer have a few of their own. They include Aodhán Clabby (pictured, above), Donal Gormley, Frank O'Donoghue, James Gilligan and Fergal Chambers.

The Marlay men enjoyed some purposeful pockets against Jude's. They play a neat brand of hurling.

VERDICT: Ballinteer St John's
