Clark's relief as injury to key man O'Dea is not that severe

DARREN O'Dea has breathed a sigh of relief as the Ireland defender has been given a positive injury update.

Now a key figure for Blackpool in their battle to avoid relegation from the Championship, O'Dea (pictured) appeared to be in agony and badly injured when he went down late on in Blackpool's astonishing 4-4 draw at home to Nottingham Forest. But boss Lee Clark has allayed fears that the Dubliner was out for the season.

"Darren's injury is not as serious as first thought, we thought there was a leg break but it's just severe cuts and lacerations and a real severe impact injury from his knee down to his ankle," said Clark.
