Cappella set for Curragh

Looking ahead to the weekend action and Cappella Sansevero is a colt I'll be looking forward to seeing again and I think we will see him return to winning ways on this occasion.

Bringing him back quickly to the Curragh after Royal Ascot didn't work out but when finishing third behind Dick Whittington and Kool Kompany in the Phoenix Stakes showed more of what he was really about and there's no doubt he is a nice ground horse which he didn't get on that occasion but by the looks of things so far this week he will get at the Curragh on Sunday.

Elsewhere, it will be interesting to see Afternoon Sunlight in the Group Three Dance Design Stakes on the same card.

She is a daughter of Sea The Stars trained by Dermot Weld who has done well this season and was just very unlucky to be collared by Parish Hall last time out and she lost very little in that defeat.

Afternoon Sunlight will prove a tough filly to beat, but I'll be hoping that John Oxx's daughter of Sea The Stars, Stars So Bright can put in a good performance.

She has only had the two runs so far as she had a little setback when finishing behind Afternoon Sunlight last time out and we'll be hoping she can give a good account of herself this time around.
