GER Ryan has left the building, but the orchestra is still playing at Russell Park.
Ger stepped down as manager, having guided the St Brigid's senior hurlers back to Division 1.
They beat Setanta last Saturday to secure the division 2 title, and it capped three memorable years at the club for the former Craobh Chiaráin and Dublin goalkeeper. That spell included steering Brigid's to two championship semi-finals and a quarter-final.
He made a major impact with the side and he was delighted to work with a fellow number one, Alan Nolan, now an All-Star nominee. Ger departs with the good wishes and gratitude of the club's hurling supremo, Timmy O'Mahony, and all at Brigid's.
