Blues legend O'Kelly backs Plan Ireland

Malcolm O'Kelly (pictured), Leinster and Ireland legend and ambassador for Plan Ireland, was on hand this week to launch the Christmas appeal for the children's charity, which works in 50 countries throughout the developing world.

This year's appeal features a Life Gifts catalogue, Christmas cards designed by sponsors and, for the first time, a unique range of photographic canvas prints, all of which will help to raise vital funds to make a lasting improvement to the lives of the world's most disadvantaged children.

"These gifts will give much-needed support and materials directly to the children and communities Plan works with in the developing world," said O'Kelly.

"By choosing a Life Gift like 'All Set for School' or 'The Gift of Child Sponsorship', you are giving a child living in poverty the chance of a better life, a gift that is priceless."

Proceeds from the appeal will go directly towards Plan's work to end child poverty and, with prices ranging from €10 to €1,000, there is a gift to suit every budget.

So, how does it work? Simply visit www.plan.ie or call 1800 829 829 and choose your gift.
