BALLYMUN KICKHAMS

OUR Heroes of the Week are our U16 management team, parents and players. The reasons are explained below, what a terrific bunch. Take a collective bow folks. A fantastic end to the John Roche Tournament on Saturday. A hugely entertaining game was settled in dramatic fashion with first half keeper Proudy coming on to smash a goal to win the game by a point. On a day of many fantastic performances, best for Ballymun was Danny Foye, Darren Robinson and Sean Perkins. Special mention to Sean Mullhall, who recently returned to team and pulled off two fantastic saves in the second half. Thanks to the Roche family for the beautiful trophy and their presence at every game was particularly pleasing. Next up is the league opener against reigning Championship winners Sylvester's next Saturday in Pairc Ciceam at 3pm. Let's have a strong support on the day. Thanks to all who baked the cakes and gave up their time to sell them in what was once again a very worthwhile exercise. There is a Fundraising Benefit Night this coming Thursday in the Laughter Lounge for our sadly deceased member, Brendan Hickey and KBRT. Please visit the Facebook page for more information. Our Nursery is on every Saturday in St Kevin's School from 9.30am-10.45am and all children aged 3 upwards are welcome. For more information on this, please call Shane on 086-1600042.

ST PATRICK'S, DONABATE

WELCOME back to Club Notes for 2015. The work never stops in Pats-land and since last Club Notes, we've had an AGM, an EGM, a Disco, a Juvenile Table Quiz and elected Rory O'Neill as our new Chairman. Our Hurling Academy teams have been working very hard and that work is paying off as they have been playing so well in Gormanstown Tournament. Congrats to all the lads and their hard-working mentors. Our U14 boys played their first Division 3 challenge match on Saturday. Their parents' nerves were high, but any doubts were unfounded as the lads more than performed, coming away with a handsome win against Geraldine P Morans. We're looking forward to seeing them in action again. We're all aiming high here in Pat's and were delighted to see Pat's own Charlo named in Jim Gavin's squad for the O'Byrne Cup Final against Kildare. Congrats to Niall Collins on this great achievement; he really is the epitome of a club man and we're lucky to have him in the parish. Well done to the 2004-2006 boys and girls, who enjoyed the Table Quiz on Saturday afternoon. Sincere thanks to the Mentors and Admin Teams who organised it so well. It's great to see everyone having fun together on and off the pitch. There's even more good news coming in DCC, where the U18 lads won their semi-final last Friday. No date for the Final yet, but we're all looking forward to it. As you'll be aware, it's membership season. Once again, membership can be paid online at www.myclubfinances.com. Alternatively, you can download the form from http://www.stpatsgaa.com/membership.asp and drop it into Katrina in the Club Office. There are two Registration Sessions in DPCC on 7 February and 7 March. Depending on demand, there may be another session this Saturday.
